EFEKTIVITAS DISCOVERY LEARNING DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KETERAMPILAN LARI JARAK PENDEK: STUDI PENELITIAN TINDAKAN KELAS

Tujuan dan Sasaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas metode discovery learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada keterampilan lari jarak pendek. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kognitif, psikomotor, dan afektif siswa melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis eksplorasi.
Metode dan Bahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes keterampilan untuk aspek psikomotor, lembar observasi untuk menilai keterlibatan siswa dan guru, serta kuesioner motivasi belajar untuk mengevaluasi aspek afektif siswa.
Hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode discovery learning secara signifikan meningkatkan ketuntasan belajar siswa dari 65,22% pada siklus I menjadi 91,30% pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini juga diikuti oleh peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, dari 72,72% pada siklus I menjadi 90,00% pada siklus II. Selain itu, skor motivasi siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dari kategori "cukup" menjadi "baik," yang mencerminkan dampak positif metode ini terhadap aspek afektif siswa. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa umpan balik spesifik dan integrasi teknologi, seperti analisis video, mendukung efektivitas metode ini dalam mengembangkan keterampilan psikomotor siswa.
Kesimpulan. Penelitian ini adalah bahwa metode discovery learning sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, baik dalam aspek kognitif, psikomotor, maupun afektif. Oleh karena itu, metode ini direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, dengan penyesuaian berdasarkan kebutuhan siswa dan integrasi teknologi untuk hasil yang lebih optimal. Penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk menguji penerapan metode ini pada cabang olahraga lainnya.
